Marshall Heilman

Marshall Heilman is the Chief Executive Officer for DTEX Systems, the global leader for insider risk management. Marshall has more than 20 years of experience in cybersecurity (in startup and large public organizations), holding executive leadership and highly technical roles at Mandiant and Google.

He is an internationally recognized cybersecurity expert, regularly speaking at industry events. He also advises startups and growth companies as an adviser to multiple venture capital firms.

Marshall joined DTEX Systems from Mandiant (now part of Google Cloud) where he spent the past 17 years focused on protecting governments and companies around the globe.

Rajan Koo

Chief Technical Officer, DTEX

Rajan Koo is the CTO and head of DTEX’s Insider Investigations & Intelligence (i3) team. He is responsible for developing, implementing, and operating technologies to prevent insider risks from becoming insider threats. Rajan has played a pivotal role in establishing DTEX’s privacy-first approach to insider risk management. He has also led several high-profile insider threat investigations that have resulted in successful prosecutions and exonerations.

As a Chartered Professional Engineer with over 20 years of cybersecurity and insider risk experience, Rajan has been awarded patents for his work in R&D (including DTEX’s unique pseudonymization features) and has led technical reviews for multi-billion dollar industrial automation projects.

Kevin Mandia, Founder of Mandiant

Kevin Mandia

Kevin Mandia is one of the world’s most recognized cybersecurity experts, with more than 30 years of experience combatting cyber threats. As Co-founder and General Partner at Ballistic Ventures, he mentors entrepreneurs, leveraging his deep understanding of the threat landscape and his proven success as a founder and CEO.

Kevin founded Mandiant, serving as CEO from 2016 to 2024, including leading the company through its successful acquisition by Google in 2022. Beyond his leadership at Mandiant, Kevin has held influential roles in cybersecurity, including serving on the National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee (NSTAC) and the CISA Cybersecurity Advisory Committee. Earlier in his career, he contributed to the consulting divisions of Sytex (acquired by Lockheed Martin) and Foundstone (acquired by McAfee).

In the U.S. Air Force, Kevin served as a computer security officer at the Pentagon, and later a special agent in the Air Force Office of Special Investigations. He holds a BS in computer science from Lafayette College and an MS in forensic science from The George Washington University.

Lynsey Wolf

Lynsey spearheads the DTEX i3 team, focusing on investigations, research, and customer support for DTEX Systems. With extensive experience as an analyst in the computer software industry, she has established a strong track record in her field. Her expertise as a seasoned insider threat investigator and researcher enables her to effectively perceive, comprehend, and respond to contextual intelligence through established scoring frameworks designed to thwart malicious actors and insider threats. 

She has successfully utilized human behavior analysis to mitigate data loss and counteract other harmful activities, assisting organizations in developing robust insider threat programs. Her comprehensive understanding of procedures and processes within innovative and compliance-driven organizations positions her as a formidable defender against both internal and external threats. She remains a leading authority in the realm of human behavior analysis.

Mike Studeman

Mike Studeman

Rear Admiral (Ret.), former Commander of the Office of Naval Intelligence

Mike Studeman, the former Commander of the Office of Naval Intelligence and a retired Rear Admiral, is one of our nation’s leading national security professionals, with extensive global experience in intelligence, foreign policy, and defense matters. He is an internationally recognized expert on Asian affairs with deep expertise on China. Mike is a MITRE National Security Fellow and on the Board of Advisors of the National Bureau of Asian Research.

Mike led intelligence operations at every level from the tactical to the strategic, and in Navy, joint, national, and interagency assignments. He supported combat operations ranging from Desert Storm to the Balkans to Afghanistan. He also contributed to a range of counter-terrorism, counter-narcotics, and counter-proliferation operations. Mike also helped formulate strategies and execute operations to deal with challenges from Iran, North Korea, Russia, and China.

Mike’s joint assignments as a flag officer include National Intelligence Manager – Maritime for the Director of National Intelligence, Director of the National Maritime Intelligence Integration Office, three years as the Director of Intelligence (J2) for the nation’s largest Combatant Command, the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, and Director of Intelligence (J2) for the U.S. Southern Command in Miami, Florida.

Mike was appointed by President Bush as a White House Fellow in 2005. He went on to become the only officer ever to serve as Special Assistants to the Chief of Naval Operations, Vice Chief of Naval Operations, and U.S. Fleet Forces Commander. He also held major command posts as a Captain, including commanding the Joint Intelligence Operations Center for U.S. Cyber Command and Commander of the Hopper Global Communications Center.

Mike’s alma mater is the College of William and Mary. He is an Honors Graduate in Mandarin Chinese from the Defense Language Institute, a Distinguished Graduate of the National War College, and a Distinguished Graduate in Asian Affairs from the Naval Postgraduate School.

David Hahn

Resident CISO, Ballistic VC

David has a long career as a CISO and spent decades building successful cybersecurity programs at leading companies. He is the consummate connector of people and collaborator to enable business growth. His career spans industries, including financial services, where he served as Chief Security Officer of Silicon Valley Bank and as SVP and Group Information Security Officer at Wells Fargo. Hahn has also held security leadership positions for SaaS companies, including CDK Global and Intuit, and was VP and CISO of Hearst, one of the world’s largest and most diversified media and data companies.

As CISO Operating Partner at Ballistic where he helps build community with CISOs, Cyber practitioners and portfolio companies to tackle challenging Cyber problems. He is helping the startups gain market traction and differentiate their solutions. David holds an MBA from Golden Gate University and Bachelors at San Jose State University.

Carl Meadows is the chair for the OpenSearch Software Foundation governing board and Director of Product at Amazon Web Services. Carl joined AWS in 2015. Prior to joining AWS, Carl held product management leadership roles at Engine Yard, SunGard Availability Services, SoftLayer and Symantec. He holds a BA from Berklee College of Music and an MBA from McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin.
